He specialises in administrative (procedural) law in general and, in particular, zoning and environmental law. He is regularly active in the overlapping area of public and private law. He focuses on infrastructure development, (urban) redevelopment, office building transformation, land exploitation, loss arising from government planning decisions, environment quality requirements and subsidies.

He advises both public authorities and private companies, including property developers, investors and housing corporations.

Guido is a lecturer at the Dutch Real Estate Institute and the Law Firm School. He also publishes regularly in legal journals, such as the Rechtspraak Vastgoedrecht. 

Guido is co-author of the book 'Building in the Netherlands’. This publication is intended to be a handy overview of the most important legal and tax facets of and for Dutch building and development practice. The publication is the result of a joint effort made by various Loyens & Loeff attorneys-at-law, tax advisers and civil law notaries in different disciplines, who pooled together their expertise and experience.
